Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation

Dynamic bandwidth allocation may be used to control the loss rate of VBR traffic, such as compressed video, while maintaining a high network utilization.  We have developed a method which maintains close control of QoS, requires modest computational effort, and results in much fewer renegotiations than other methods.  Click here for a demonstration of this method on actual traces of compressed video, and to download the simulator.
